Oliver Furrer decided to try something special when he jumped out of a plane while wearing regular skis. He was asked to do so as part of a Commercial for Swissair, who had been the main sponsor for the 1999 Swiss National Ski team. It was challenging to implement the Director’s ideas into reality, as regular skis are usually not worn between heaven and earth.

The first shoot took place in Spain. Unfortunately it was ruined because the camera was not properly sealed. During the second shoot with a new camera, Oliver jumped over Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland. The breathtaking view of the mountains was exactly what the film needed.

Jumping out of a plane with skis is difficult, but it can be done!
